SPECIAL EVENTS

The Social Committee sponsors a wide variety of special events, including Happy Hours, Pot Luck Dinners, Speaker’s Corner Presentations, Trivia Contests, Wine Tastings, Bingo and Dining Out. Events will be advertised by posters and email, and will be posted here as they are scheduled.

SPORTS

Tennis

Tennis players meet every day (weather permitting). Play is in a round-robin format that can accommodate whatever number of people participate on a given day.

Pickleball

This relative new activity offers a chance to play (or learn to play) the world’s fastest growing racquet sport. 

No fixed times. Play is allowed between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily, including weekends.

Cycling Group

Seasoned cyclists interested in group rides are invited to join this group. Rides are along scenic routes either south of the city or north to Gatineau Park, and typically cover 60 – 80 km over a 4-hour period. There are stops for coffee and treats along the way. Regular and e-bikes welcome.

Bottle Drive

Please support the Committee's activities by leaving your wine and liquor bottles and beer cans in the Canoe bay. We return them and use the refunded deposits to help pay for activities.
